Why Organisations Partner with UNO Society

  1. Alleviate balance sheet and cashflow pressure by avoiding advances, payroll top-ups, or informal worker lending

  2. Support workers with essential setup and living costs without tying up business capital

  3. Improve worker stability during the critical early employment period

  4. Reduce absenteeism and early attrition caused by financial stress

  5. Protect organisational reputation by working with a compliant, responsible lender

  6. Partner with a lender that understands migrant and trades employment cycles

We help organisations support workers without carrying unnecessary financial exposure or operational risk.

UNO Society provides an alternative to organisations funding worker costs themselves, helping preserve cashflow while supporting successful placements.

Who this Partnership is suitable for?

  1. Recruitment agencies placing migrant or trades workers

  2. Labour hire and workforce providers

  3. Businesses that directly employ migrant labour

  4. Employers onboarding workers new to New Zealand

  5. Organisations focused on long-term worker retention and performance

How the Partnership Works

  1. A recruitment agency or employer refers a worker for assessment, or the worker applies directly and nominates their agency or employer

  2. We assess affordability and suitability in line with New Zealand consumer lending requirements

  3. For New to NZ loans, the referring agency or employer may provide a limited commercial guarantee as part of a separate partnership arrangement

  4. If approved, funds are paid to support the worker’s essential setup needs

  5. Repayments are made weekly and aligned with payroll cycles

  6. UNO Society manages the lending relationship and loan administration

Worker loans and vehicle finance are not guaranteed by agencies or employers.

Guarantees apply only to agreed New to NZ loan arrangements and form part of a separate commercial agreement between UNO Society and the referring organisation.

Recruitment agencies and employers are not responsible for day-to-day loan administration or repayments.

What we Provide

  1. New to NZ loans for essential setup costs

  2. Worker loans for unexpected or short-term needs

  3. Vehicle finance where transport is required for work

  4. Weekly repayment structures aligned to pay cycles

  5. Transparent fees and clear lending decisions

All lending is assessed individually and responsibly.
